Applegate was a young actress and gained fame for her role as Kelly Bundy on Fox's sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Applegate was a highly successful actress and producer in television and film. She received a Primetime Emmy Award, seven nominations and nominations for four Golden Globe Awards as well as the Tony Award. Applegate played the title character in the NBC sitcom Jesse (1998-1900) that earned her a nomination for the Golden Globe Award. She also won a Primetime Emmy Award for her guest appearance on the NBC sitcom Friends (2002-2003). For her performance in the Broadway revival of Sweet Charity (2005), she received a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Samantha Who?, an ABC sitcom that she played her final time on.
